The Boston Fellows touches on nearly every area of life: vocation, relationships, intellect and physical well-being with a focus on spiritual life; the still point in God at the center of life’s vortex.
Internships and Mentoring
The program is designed to give Fellows valuable professional experience in a field as closely related to their career plans as possible by securing a part-time paid internship in the Greater Boston area. Each Fellow meets at least monthly with a professional mentor respected in the working world.
Study
Fellows spend meaningful time together each week studying and discussing topics related to their engagement in the world. They complete two 3-credit-hour graduate courses (“Christ and Culture I & II”) designed specifically for the Boston Fellows in association with the Mockler Center for Faith and Ethics in the Workplace at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Gordon College.
These courses are team-taught by professors and professionals in the Boston marketplace teaching in their fields of expertise and experience.
Worship & Spiritual Formation
The Boston Fellowsis committed to closing the gaps that threaten to separate Sunday and the rest of the week, faith and work, principles and practice, etc. Integration of these areas begins with a solid foundation in spiritual formation: “off-the-job” training for the real world. Worship and life in a local congregation provide the Fellows a foundation for their calling
Fellows are welcomed into the community of All Saints Anglican Church in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
Community
Unlike many Fellows programs, the Boston Fellows do not live with host families. Rather, the Boston Fellows live in intentional community in St. Aidan's Ministry House on the campus of All Saints.
Service
Fellows are involved in Christian service through the local congregation, youth ministry and building relationships with local at-risk youth through The Outreach.
The Fellows Initiative
The Boston Fellows is part of the larger Fellows Initiative, a coalition of similar programs sharing common goals and model designed to train and encourage the next generation's Christian leaders.
