What recent alumni are saying…

I really can't say enough good things about this program. The combination of all elements of the Fellows has matured me immensely in my faith and deepened both my understanding of who God is and my relationship with Him.

- Business, 2023

“Boston Fellows has helped me to see that God delights in good work, in work well done. It has helped me probe further into how and why our concrete, daily work glorifies and sings praise to our Creator. He has helped me find a profound posture of freedom, levity, and joy in my work that I haven't experienced since high school. A crazy unmerited gift which only speaks to the heart of God.”

- Master Craftsman, 2021

“This has been well worth the money, investment, and the time! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can already tell this program has been an absolutely pivotal point in my faith and life.”

About Work

The teaching that we are made in the image of God, the Ultimate Creator, to be people who are generative ourselves has also been a game-changer, and prompted me to be much more thoughtful about what I am producing on a day-to-day basis.

— Medicine, 2023

Boston Fellows helped me to realize that all work can be glorifying to God. He calls us each to a province to oversee and therefore we can feel dignity in our work; to see my work as a stay at home mom as important work that matters to God, even though I don't get paid or get accolades from our culture. Internalizing this helped me to feel dignity, which in turn helped me to work with joy… to be present with where God has me now rather than longing for a future season.”

—Engineer, now Mom, Alumni 2022

“A great tension in my life in recent years has been discerning my calling, my passion, my vocation. [Now,] I am to some degree less concerned with finding the perfect fit as with being present to what I am called to presently and doing that in a way that honors God and recognizes the inherent goodness he has placed in that calling.”

— Education/Research, 2023

Boston Fellows has freed me from the struggle to search for reasons my work matters, because now I know that it does -- no matter what it is… I am starting to understand that my work as an act of praise is simply enough.”

— Business/Marketing, Alumni 2022

“I view all of my work, (professional, personal; volunteer roles, church roles) as opportunities to continue God's work, however small or large. I am more mindful of how I do my work. I also take more pride in being in the background: viewing it with the same vigor as giving a speech or leading a program.”

—NonProfit Manager, Alumni 2021

“During a time of significant career challenges and change, Boston Fellows affirmed that what I do for my work is less important than how I do my work.”

— Engineering, 2023

The program does a great job helping Fellows understand the integration of faith and all aspects of life and work. It deepened my understanding of how my work is an offering to God.

— NonProfit, Alumni 2023

“It's clear to me now that ‘Christian work’ is not only work in ministry, but work done well, for God's glory. We can serve God simply by doing our work well.

— Nursing, Alumni 2022

About Study

“The deep study, community and consistent focus on devotion and discipleship strengthened my faith this year in a way that I really needed (and was longing for).”

— Business / Branding, Alumni 2022

Boston Fellows has helped me hold difficult unanswered questions in my hand; to recognize the reality of conflicting truths, especially as they pertain to the Christian life in work, politics, relationships, life.”

— Performing Arts, Alumni 2023

I appreciated the opportunity the Teaching Saturdays provided to delve into a topic and hear from people who were deeply committed to Christ in their vocation.”

— Teaching, Alumni 2023

“I appreciate the rigorous study and discussion regarding topics of faith and work.  It provides me a framework to look at my work as a vessel to glorify God even in the mundane and repetitious.”

— Architecture, Alumni 2023

About Spiritual Growth

“Daily devotional time with God was not new to me but practicing within the context of time-tested liturgy was. The Daily Office has grown my love of liturgy, and given me words/scriptural truths to direct back to God in times when I didn’t have the words, or was not feeling particularly spiritually inspired; and overall helped make my prayer life more multi-dimensional.”

—Business, Alumni 2023

Participating in Boston Fellows has impacted the way I pray for my school, my coworkers, and myself as a teacher–also impacting how I view my role in the lives of my students and fellow teachers.

— Education/Teaching, Alumni 2023

The Fellows Program was instrumental in helping me realize the importance of spiritual disciplines.  I am typically more intellectual in my faith and the Fellows helped me see the need for practical activities to form my faith.”

— Business, Alumni 2023

The conversations around human flourishing, rightly ordered loves, the arc of history (CFRR) have all contributed to my sense of purpose and mission as a Christian teacher in a secular school.”

— Education, Alumni 2023

The program has truly been a gift and a vessel for spiritual growth.  God has met me in the readings and in the meetings and events.  It was very valuable and well-timed for this season of life.”

—Education/Research, Alumni 2023

“This program has really flexed my prayer muscle and helped me see prayer as an imperfect, ongoing conversation with God versus something that has to be well-formulated, planned, impressive, etc. I have found myself approaching even little parts of my job with more intention and prayer.

— Medicine, Alumni 2023

About Community

Boston Fellows has provided the most robust fellowship across churches and industries I have ever experienced.

— Medicine, Alumni 2023

The relationships I formed with other Fellows was the highlight of the program for me.”

— Business, Alumni 2023

“The BF program has been an incredibly formative time of self-reflection, mentorship, and mutual discipleship with like-minded individuals.

—Medical Resident, Alumni 2022

“It’s hard to overemphasize how good this has been. I have so often left Fellows gatherings thinking about how much I love this group and how thankful I am for them.”

— Research, Alumni 2023

“I feel so blessed, encouraged, edified by the community fostered in the program.  It means so much to have a group of people to love and be loved by under the banner of Christ. I felt very comfortable as a member of BF, not as a student but like I was a family member; seen, understood, welcomed, wanted. This, more than anything, may be what I’ve appreciated most about the leadership.

—Performing Arts, Alumni 2023

The duration, commitment and community of the program were perfect. It was enough that I couldn't just cram it into my week and had to be intentional with my time, but it never felt like too much.

—Business, Alumni 2023

“Besides the caring friendship I’ve experienced, I’ve also had opportunities to see peers navigating life concerns similar to mine and been encouraged to know I’m not alone in facing difficulties.”

— Medicine/Science, Alumni 2023
